CLUB HOT NEWS

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eagles and Ravens (Cubs and Peewees)

Due to a lack of cooperation and response from other clubs and a lack of shooters at our club shoots, the Executive Board has regrettably cancelled the Eagles and Ravens program. We apologize to the few parents and young archers who made the effort to be at the events, but there was just not enough total participation to continue the program. At our club shoots we will have balloons and other fun targets for the young archers to shoot at, on the practice range.

Club Executive Board Reorganization

We need your help  and cooperation

The Desert Archers Executive Board has voted to reorganize the structure of our board. We will have a business committee made up of the officers and two volunteer board members at large. This committee will run the day to day business operation of the club and meet once a month. The15 to 20 member executive board, made up of Associate members, will only meet twice a year to vote for new or remaining officers and to vote on long range goals of the club, presented by the business committee. The executive board members will also work at two shoots/year, which includes, setting up and taking down   the courses. For their efforts, executive board members  will get free family memberships, will shoot free at all the club shoots, get free meals and paid while working on club shoots.  If you are interested in being a new board member, contact one of our existing board members or officers.

                                                         NEXT EVENT AT TMP

Make sure you take time to look at the "Legislature Alerts" page. It will give you information on Az Game and Fish, BLM, state lands, and National Forest meetings that affect our hunting and camping rights and opportunities. If you know of any meetings or legislation that could affect our hunting, fishing, access, and/or camping rights, please let me know and I will post it on our website.
