DESERT ARCHERS YOUTH S3DA CLUB

The Desert Archers Youth S3DA Club was added in 2021 in conjunction with Desert Archers. Desert Archers objective is to strengthen the spirit of archery through fellowship, competition and ethical hunting. The S3DA Youth program fits perfectly into the mission statement and we look forward to seeing it grow.

MISSION STATEMENT of S3DA

The mission of the Scholastic 3-D Archery (S3DA) Program is to foster, educate and guide youth in the areas of indoor target, 3-D and outdoor target archery as well as safe, ethical bow-hunting practices. The goal of the S3DA program is to provide archery and bow-hunting opportunities for young people in after-school settings as well as with archery-affiliated clubs and businesses in the community. In addition, S3DA expects to help provide a basic understanding and respect for our natural resources, environment and nature, with a special emphasis on the modern wildlife conservation and regulated sport hunting.

THE CLUB TODAY

Desert Archers Youth S3DA utilizes the Tucson Mountain Park Archery Range (Pima County Parks and Recreation) just west of Tucson, AZ. The park archery range consists of eight practice bales with ranges from 10 to 70 yards and three walking courses with 14 targets per course with ranges from 10 to 80 yards. During our monthly club 3D events, we close the walking courses and set up two new courses with 15 to 20 3D targets per course. Every target is set up to simulate an actual hunting situation. Club shoots are open to club members and nonmembers alike.

No matter what equipment you shoot (longbow, recurve, or compound) there is someone in Desert Archers who shares your interest.

FUTURE PLANS

Our goal is to continuously recruit new members and cultivate the growth of archery in today's youth. We encourage you to consider sponsoring the S3DA Youth Club. We are always in need of donations to off-set the cost of club operations. Please contact Support@desertarchers.com for questions.
